How Do I Unfriend Someone on Faceboook?
There are a lot of reasons why someone might want to unfriend someone on Facebook. Here is a step by step guide on how to unfriend someone on Facebook.
- First, know their name. Then type it into the search box:
- That’s found her. Click on her name then press Return to make the search…
- Now scroll down and look on the left side of their profile page. Some ways down you’ll see a bunch of useful options:
- Click on “Remove from Friends” and you’ll see a confirmation box:
- Yup, sorry, you’re off the list. Confirm with “Remove from Friends” and it’ll refresh their profile page. If it’s worked, you’ll now see what someone who isn’t a friend sees, including the “Add as Friend” button:
How Do I find an Old Wall Posting on Facebook
Facebook is always changing to keep up with users and what they are looking in their social networks. Wait sixty seconds and the newer stuff will appear on the top of the page and push the older content down. At the bottom of the page, things just “vanish” into the ether. Sure you can click on “Older Posts” but what if it’s something from days or weeks ago?
So where’s it all going? To find old wall posting following the below steps:
- Click on “View my Profile” and you’ll then see generally what others would see if they looked at your profile and were already friends with you. Click on the “Wall” tab:
- Now you should be able to scroll down and find your witty joke and all the comments your friends left.
- Instead of clicking on “View all X comments”, click on the date and time information. Surprise! It takes you to a page that has your original Wall status update and all the comments that everyone else has left. I find this trick darn useful when I want to archive the commentary for later reference, btw.
- Oh, and if you find that your status update isn’t on your Wall, scroll to the bottom of the page and you’ll see our friend “Older Posts”. Click on it and scroll down again.
Hope that helps you out and I hope your girlfriend finds your joke witty! If you need more Facebook help, do spend the time to poke around here on the site.

How to Make a Lolcat
If you’re Internet-savvy, you’ve probably come across a “lolcat”–an image macro usually featuring a cat and a caption in broken English. You might subscribe to them through RSS, or even collect them. Now you can make your own by following these steps!
- Search for (or take) pictures of cats. Get several of them and choose which one would look funny with ‘capshuns’. If you use someone else’s image, make sure to ask for permission, or if it’s a Creative Commons image, give them credit appropriately.
- Think of a caption. Remember that spelling/grammatical errors are deliberate. This “language” is sometimes called lolspeak, kitteh or kitty pidgin. You may be able to find some translators online.
- Try these caption templates (replace the blanks with your desired noun/verb):
- “IM IN UR ___, ___-ING UR ___”
- “IT ARE ___, I HAS IT”
- “OH NOES! MAH ___ IT ARE ___!”
- Try these caption templates (replace the blanks with your desired noun/verb):
- Try finding cats in positions that look as if they have an ‘invisible object’. Put a caption describing what is the ‘invisible object’. A good (existing) example would be “invisible bike.”
- Open up the desired cat picture with Adobe Photoshop or GIMP, place your desired “capshun” on the picture in Impact font, Bold it, colour the text white and enable a black outline around it.
- You’re done! Now send to friends or post on forums for the world to view your creation! Many lols will come forth!

How to Set up a Linksys Wireless Router
It’s not always easy to set up a wireless router with a Windows client. Linksys routers come with a step-by-step Setup Wizard which makes setup and configuration easy to understand. Once the initial setup is complete, it’s simple to customize the configurations.
- Choose and purchase a Linksys router, taking into account your budget and computing habits.
- Attach the antennas to the Linksys wireless router.
- Place the router in a central location, making sure it’s not surrounded by metal. (A signal can’t be obtained through metal.) The router should be located so that the distance between clients (computers) is somewhat equal. This will create a better connection.
- Plug the Ethernet cable into the “Internet” port on the back of the Linksys router.
- Connect a computer to the router by plugging another Ethernet cable into the Ethernet port on your computer and attaching the other end to one of the available ports on the back of the router. You can choose any port except the one labeled “WAN.”
- Plug the router into an electrical outlet.
- Wait for the power light to stop flashing, at which time the router is finished booting up. While the router is booting, the power light will be blinking. This process may take a few minutes to complete.
- Reboot your computer so it can access a new IP address from the router through the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP).
- Open your web browser, type
" http://192.168.1.1/ "into the address bar and hit “Enter.” - Use “Admin” as the username in the pop-up box and leave the password blank.
- Connect to the Internet and click on “Internet Setup.”
- Select your connection type from the drop-down menu. Choose “DHCP” for cable modems or “PPPoE” for most DSL modems. If you are unsure of these options, check with your ISP.
- Set a service set identifier (SSID) to identify the router and change the password.
- Encrypt your wireless connection using a Wireless Encryption Protocol (WEP) key. Under the “Wireless Security” option, enter a passphrase and click “Generate.” This will generate a password which will need to be used by any client connecting to your router.
Configure the Router

How To Make My Blog Stand Out From The Crowd?
Yesterday I was having a great conversation with Marshall Kirkpatrick (Vice President of Content Development at RWW, not sure what that means) about how to get your blog noticed in the current environment. The discussion started with me posing the basic question “how can I get my blog noticed because we seem to be producing very good content but not getting the rewards”?
It was first mentioned that Problogger is the best source for this information on the web, however I have been reading his site for many years now and most of the content seems to be getting a little reproduced. Additionally, Problogger talks a lot about social media and how to use it to your advantage, but these days everyone has been reading those articles for year and most bloggers use StumbleUpon, Digg, Mixx, Buzz and other very proficiently. If most bloggers are using these tools to their advantage then you still have the same issues, how to stand out from the crowd?
I know that here in Europe a blog that has been on the rise lately is TheNextWeb, but I know these guys have been writing that blog for several years now and they also have one of the best technology conference on the mainland of Europe. Therefore if I want to improve my readership it is a little difficult to just start a conference, or is it worth adding some add-ons to the site such as job board, marketplace or others?
Content is also a major player in this issues, cause most good bloggers say that content is king. However, I think that content is king when you are either a small blog or a large blog, but definitely in the middle content isnt king and it is all about promotion and push.
This is main problem with web 2.0, noise! Currently, there is just simply so much noise in most niche’s, so why instead of writing individual sites and keeping a little revenue, maybe the plan should be to join forces with other blogs and create a larger blog and take a smaller slice of a much larger pie.
I propose this question to you, “how can I get my site to stand out from the rest, especially considering we produce amazing content that is much better than the majority of our competitors”?
