Techcrunch 20 is now 40

I just got back from a work holiday today (4 lovely days in the Czech Rep for work) and while my time away was amazing (beer festival) and when i think it couldnt get any better, i arrive back at work to hear the Techcrunch has increase their conference size from 20 startups to 40. Brilliant!

After reviewing the 700+ applications that they received from 26 different countries, and after personally interviewing 175+ businesses, they decided that there were just too many strong start-ups to limit the conference format to 20 company presentations. So they revisited our agenda, cut out a number of content panels and determined that they could successfully break 40 companies at the conference and still leave room for interesting discussion and debate about new business models and verticals with their expert advisory panel. I can see this being the conference of the year!
