Virgin Turning Their Project iPad Magazine into a Free App Thanks to Sponsorship
It seems like Virgin is about to turn their Project magazine for iPad into a free application. Currently Project is around $2.99 in the App store, but with an ad sponsorship from American Express it can now afford to go free.
It seems like this twist means that there is more money in lucrative sponsorship deals instead of upfront fees. Additionally, under Apples new subscription initiative the publisher won been to give away 30 percent of their income to Apple.
