A leaked rebate sheet reveals the device could be headed to Verizon very soon.

2. Right click PwnageTool 4.2, select Show Content Package and move over to Contents-Resources-Firmware Bundles and then copy the iOS 4.3.8 bundles in the folder.

4. Select iOS 4.2.8 firmware and wait for it to be restored

Verizon has announced the release of a revamped V Cast music app for Android. Users can purchase full tracks, ringtones and ringback tones from a single application. This is nothing out of this world, but it is about time Verizon sorted this out!

Updated V CAST Music App Puts Full Songs, Ringtones and Ringback Tones All in One Place for the First Time

BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – Verizon Wireless said today the company has updated its V CAST Music app, enabling Android™ smartphone customers to get and enjoy the music they want easily and at lower prices.  For the first time, V CAST Music brings full-track songs, ringtones and ringback tones together in one easy-to-use application.

The new version of V CAST Music, available on Android smartphones running Android 2.1 or higher, lets customers purchase full-track songs in high-quality MP3 format without DRM.

V CAST Music will now also offer full-track songs for 69 cents, 99 cents or $1.29 per song, which can be downloaded over the air to a smartphone, and then easily moved to a computer or other MP3-compatible device using V CAST Media Manager.

“Verizon Wireless is taking a leap forward with V CAST Music.  We’re bringing the different kinds of music people love to have on their phones together in one, easy-to-use application, making it easy for customers to get what they want at lower prices,” said Greg Haller, vice president, Consumer Solutions for Verizon Wireless.  “We’ve added features to V CAST Music that make it simple and more fun to enjoy your favorite music on your phone and with your friends and family.”

Using the new V CAST Music, customers will be able to purchase multiple formats of the same song – full track, ringtone and ringback tone – at a discounted price in select bundles.  Customers can easily purchase and manage Jukeboxes of ringback tones that will rotate messages so callers hear different tones each time they call.  V CAST Music now features a wish list, so customers can indicate what music they would like to purchase in the future, a “recommendations” button so they can send music suggestions to friends and family for them to preview or purchase using the app.

V CAST Music comes preloaded on select Android smartphones, and existing customers will be prompted to upgrade the next time they launch the app.  Customers that have phones without V CAST Music on the app screen, can download the new version from the Verizon Channel in the Android Martket^™.  The app is free to download, but customers must have a data package on their account.  Data and usage charges may apply when browsing, previewing and downloading music.

If the i4 crypto engine couldn’t get those, it would have been bad sign for limera1n. But it did, so there’s still hope.

Considering the fact that it isn’t vulnerable, then Verizon iPhone 4 owners would not be able to jailbreak their devices and would have to wait until somebody else finds a new bootrom exploit.

And if by any chance, iOS 4.2.6 is vulnerable to the Limera1n exploit, this would mean that at least a tethered jailbreak would be possible from day 1.

Customers may also update their smartphones using the BlackBerry Desktop Manager software. Are you one of those people? Rumors have circulated across various sites that Apple has been courting Verizon as the next network to gain access to the iPhone as early as Quarter 1, 2011. While all signs point to yes, the evidence is not conclusive and thus speculation persists. Considering the dominance that the iPhone has on the cell phone market, it’s safe to assume that the majority not using the iPhone are either Blackberry or Android users, with others following into the minority of other OS platforms.

In market research conducted by Morpace, subscribers on Verizon alone are awaiting the transition of the iPhone onto the Verizon network. Of 1000 people surveyed, 23% said they’d most likely buy it, while a whopping 51% of Verizon subscribers said they were waiting to buy it. This segment of Verizon subscribers could bolster Apple’s numbers heavily when/if the transition takes place as rumored. AppleInsider even predicts that it could put Apple in the lead, far ahead of it’s competitors. The platforms mostly threatened by the iPhone being offered on Verizon would be Blackberry and Android, so it will be interesting to see how this will effect the numbers.

Both phones were manufactured by Sharp with multi-touch screen and a QWERTY keyboard. But let’s review the specs for each one:

Kin One

• 2.1” display.
• Wi-Fi.
• 5MB camera. With LumiLED technology.
• 4GB storage.

Kin Two

• 3.5” display.
• Wi-Fi.
• 8MB HD camera.
• 8GB storage.

The social networks integration will be focused on the start screen of the phone, “Loop”; where you can find the latest updates from your friends. It will also be high integrated with Zune

An interesting point regarding storage is that most of the phone data won’t be stored in the device, instead it will be using a cloud storage; giving you the possibility to access it anywhere. Both models will be available on May with Verizon.

They, in the past, have been criticized for blocking certain apps and having limited selections for their phones. They have indeed seen the error of their ways. Speaking at their first ever developers conference in San Jose, California.

“It’s a new day (in wireless),” McAdam, Verizon CEO said in the opening address of the developer conference which was also Webcast. “And our future success is no longer in the walled-garden. Our success is tied to you (developers).

This would make for a nice touch to the current Verizon services. By giving users an app store you’re giving them one more reason to stay with you rather than search for greener pastures. I can’t see there being as many apps as the Apple App Store simply because Verizon don’t have the same kind of image that Apple has –sleek, cool and ultra-modern. However, their users will most certainly be impressed. Let’s hope us critics are too when it launches. Keep checking Crenk for updates on this story.

Sprints CEO, Dan Hesse shot down claims by Verizon that Verizon would be getting the Palm Pre sooner than expected. Sprints CEO, who was due to launch the device the next day on his network made firm comments about their exclusivity deal concerning the Palm Pre phone.

He said that “they need to check their facts” and “That just is not the case. Both Palm and Sprint have agreed not to discuss the length of the exclusivity deal. But I can tell you it’s not six months.”

If Verizon go ahead with their aspirations to have the Palm Pre on their network by 2010 then indeed it won’t be six months. It will be seven.

It should come as no huge shock because both carries operate using the same technology and thus they both are ideal to carry the Palm Pre which is seen as one of the main competitors to Apple’s iPhone in the US.

However, I think that Sprint really does need this phone on their network. Thy have developed a bad reputation for poor quality service and bad connections and have worked tirelessly to fix the problem. This phone could be their one shining light. Hesse said “We are very different company than we were 12 months ago,”. “And the Pre is the coming-out party for the new Sprint that shows off our fantastic data network and rate plans.”
