SanDisk Sansa Fuze: Simple, Lightweight Media Player

A couple of weeks ago I had the nice people over at SanDisk send me their Sansa Fuze to review. The current price is $79.99 for the 2GB version.

First glance at the Sansa Fuze was not great, the graphics are very old school and when this is trying to compete with the classic ipod it does really look professional. In terms of controls as you can see it has the same type scroll wheel as the classic ipod, but when you are running through the menuing system it does seem to be a lot easier to understand and control than the classic ipod.

The key feature that for me blows the classic ipod out the water is the fact that iTunes is not needed and you can simply drag and drop you music, images and video onto the Sansa Fuze. Drag and drop makes moving files to and from so simple, plus allows the older generations who havent used iTunes much an easier option when trying to transfer music to their players.

As far as gadgets though, the Sansa Fuze is not in the same league as the apple ipod touch for exam, in which is the new toy on the market these days. However, the Sansa Fuze would be great for people of an older generation who are looking for a very simple, easy to use, lightweight mp3 player. I recommend the Sansa Fuze also for athletes who are looking for a cheap mp3 player in which they can go jogging with.
