Rdio has been signing a great deal of partnerships of late as they are trying to keep up and push ahead of competitors Spotify and MOG. Here is the latest television advertising that features Rdio (just in time for the Christmas period). The tv ad was published by Walmart in conjunction with Samsung.
Samsung Illusion 4G pictures have been floating around for some time now, but it has been confirmed that Verizon will be shipping the Samsung Illusion 4G in the US this holiday season.
A leaked rebate sheet reveals the device could be headed to Verizon very soon.
There are a lot of reports this morning that Samsung are preparing to acquire Nokia. Nokia recently signed with Microsoft to produce Windows Phone 7 devices and it seems like Microsoft could even be a potential buyer. However, it seems as though Samsung are interested in Nokia and very close to closing a deal.
I cant see Microsoft acquiring Nokia and making their own device, so Samsung is the perfect match for the company. Im quite surprised HTC havent thought about putting together a syndicate.
Techcrunch was lucky enough to get their hands on the upcoming “Chromebook”. Acer and Samsung will be producing the Chromebooks and here are pictures of the Samsung Series 5 Chromebook.
Reuters is reporting that Seagate has just acquired Samsung Electronics for $1.4 billion in cash and stock. This seems to be a great result for Samsung who will now be exiting an extremely competitive market (maybe Samsung can now focus on sorting out their memory chip business).
“The transactions and agreements significantly expand Seagate’s customer access in China and Southeast Asia,” reads a statement released by both companies.
Seagate will now focus on trying to compete with Western Digital. Samsung is now the second largest shareholder in Seagate with a 10% share valued at $687 million.
Samsung has just started advertising their amazing Samsung Galaxy S 2. Here is the first TV commercial for the handset. As the ad shows, the Samsung Galaxy S 2 has an amazing AMOLED screen.
Samsung has just announced that the Samsung Galaxy S2 will be launching in the UK on the 1st of May. The Samsung Galaxy S2 will be available on all UK networks and its expected to sell a great deal of units.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy Tab 8.9 inch and 10.1 inch. Both of these tablets run on Android 2.3 for tablets and are only 8.6 millimeters thick with 4G and Wifi support.
Both of these devices have amazing HD displays with a 3MP rear camera and a 2MP front facing camera, plus supports Adobe Flash 10.2.
Both tablets have a large display of 1280 x 800 which are a little larger than the iPad 2 display.

Engadget and BGR have stumbled upon the entire summer handset release list for Three UK (not sure they are going to be happy about this). So what can you expect out of Three UK? April will have three handsets released, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, the Samsung Galaxy Pro, and the Samsung Galaxy S II Mini.
Its been noticed that the Samsung Galaxy S II Mini will feature:
3.7-inch WVGA screen
1.4GHz processor
21Mbps HSDPA radio
5 megapixel rear-facing camera
VGA front-facing camera
Wi-Fi b/g/n with hotspot capabilities
Android 2.3
Additionally, for May there are even more handsets including HTC Flyer, HTC Wildfire, Nokia E7 and Samsung Galaxy S II. June will offer the Nokia X7, HTC ChaCha and LG Optimus 3D, plus the Wifi only Blackberry Playbook.
AndroidHD was lucky enough to spend a day with the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 has some amazing features and is powered by Android 3.0.
Samsung have been the first to state that the tablet needs a lot of work and wont be completely “finished” when it launches in the Summer.
I cant see the Samsung Galaxy Tab really affecting iPad sales much and grabbing any marketshare.
