Last week Google Reader received an update, as well as YouTube videos getting a search tool, but today the change can only be seen when you log in to your Google Account. The change is a basic layout update for everyone’s Google Account.

As you can see from the new design it is a lot cleaner and easier to navigate. Previously, all the items were lined up in a single column down the page, and I for one are really happy they changed it, considering the amount of Google products I use.

Ask announced today that there skins options on the home page has been upgraded. When they launched Ask3D last year they saw great success by allowing its users to select from a list of skins for the home page. In the new upgrade a user can now actually completely personalise their ask search page by uploading their own skin. This is not a huge feature, but quite a fun one. How come I cant do something like this on Google?

I have been reading around the blogosphere today and there seems to be a buzz around Google and if they are dropping PageRankings due to sites selling Text Link Ads. Google has admited to SearchEngineLand that if sites sell text links then their page rankings might drop. I have noticed that a few month ago Crenk was a PR4 and now since i have added Text Link Ads it has dropped to a PR1, for no real reason. Who else has been seeing a drop in traffic and or page rank?
