The Dell Streak 7 launching in the UK will run Android 2.2, but updates will be available once Android 2.3 is released to the general public.

The Dell Streak 7 tablet features:

• 1.3 megapixel camera on the front
• 5 megapixel camera on the back
• Runs Adobe Flash 10.1
• NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor

While LG Electronics (LGE) and Motorola already unveiled their dual-core smartphones at CES, HTC, Samsung Electronics and Nokia are expected to showcase similar models at the upcoming Mobile World Conference (MWC), indicated the sources.

It is now expected that the upcoming iPhone 5 will have a dual core processor. RIM already has a dual-core CPU in its upcoming PlayBook tablet and Apple is believed to be looking at a similar chip for its 2nd generation iPad.

If the standardization of all of the drivers does not sound like a big deal to you, there’s more: NVIDIA is also saying that this driver package offers a 30% performance increase in the video processing.

Here’s a summary about the key points in the NVIDIA Verde (“green” for Spanish) drivers:

• The Verde suite will represent the drivers for desktops, mainstream notebooks, gaming notebooks, 3D notebooks, thin and light notebooks and netbooks.
• Verde will represent the 256 series drivers (Rel256).
• Drivers are CUDA enabled (GPU-accelerated applications).
• Drivers are 3D TV Play enabled (for using on 3D TVs).
• Notebooks with multi-vendor hybrid solutions, i.e. those with integrated Intel graphics and discrete NVIDIA graphics, will not be supported.

I don’t know about you, but I really love when companies start talking about standardization in their products.

This chip was build, of course, specially for smartphones, PDAs and MIDs. There are several type of processors within this chip: Tegra APX series (2500 and 2600) specially designed for smartphones; Tegra 600 and 650 designed for smartbook and MIDs.

Naming some of the features that the new Zune will include:

• Will use flash memory instead of an internal hard drive. Remember that flash memory it’s quite faster than normal hard drives.
• OLED multi-touch screen.
• Wi-Fi enabled. No confirmation yet about if will include a support on 802.11n.
• HD radio. High quality sound available.
• Output available 1280×720 (720p). Will not support 1080p.
• Internet browser optimized for multi-touch functionality.

We are still waiting on official release date and pricing.
