iView: The Latest LCD Technology Concept That Apple Should Adopt

Over at Behance they have been producing some amazing ideas for a long time and I thought I would share one of my favourite designs. This design is called the iView. The iView is the next step in LCD for professionals, the first screen with two distinctive characteristics: a double panoramic screen with a unique curvature accompanying the natural eye curvature and movement.

Eliminate the use of two screens to achieve a larger work area. The use of dual screen, strategically put together side by side, originates areas where the visibility is hindered, not only by the proximity, but by the high perspective created by the curve-free plans, as well. With the iView you will get no undesired reflections, remarkably increased working flow and with the presence of all the commands and working plans in one big area, you can now drag them around or zoom them in or out, without any of the usual unnecessary physical interruptions or adjustments.

Get “another” view of you project. The large double screen iView comprises in its back another practical innovation – an extra LCD – extremely useful for both colleges and assistants. It allows them to follow your work in progress, without any effort, which instantly increases the creative exchange.

The product has wireless internet and the only cable it requires is for electric. The iView has two web-cams, one at the front and another at the back.

Rotate Your Computer Screen in Windows 7

The standard orientation of our computer screens is generally horizontal (also known as landscape) but monitors placed in portrait mode (where height becomes greater than the width) can be pretty useful for performing tasks that require lot of scrolling (like reading lengthy web pages).

Windows 7 includes a new option under Display Settings that can help you flip the screen from portrait to landscape mode (and vice-versa) without requiring additional software.

This may come very handy if you are using a dual monitor setup with Windows 7 where you want one screen in the default horizontal mode and other one in vertical mode for reading content.

Are My Sites Up: Monitors When Your Sites Are Down and Send Notifications

There are so many places on the net these days where you can track if a specific website is down for just you or for the entire internet. Today I have no idea why but I wanted to introduce you to another such startup, Are My Sites Up.

Are My Sites Up is a new web based startup that allows you to track the up time of web sites and it even sends you notifications when they are down.

Currently in the free service you are able to setup 50 sites to monitor and for that you also receive a great control panel and even set it to email you or send you an SMS update when one of your monitored sites is down. The service requires no ownership of or modification to the web sites you are monitoring, you can use it on your own site or any site you want to keep an eye on.
