How To Reset My Blackberry

Sometimes when you use the BlackBerry there are several problems like can not access files and you need to reset it. There are 3 choice how to reset your BlackBerry: soft, double-soft and hard reset and all of the them has different function.

1. Soft Reset
Just press ALT+Right SHIFT (CAP)+DELETE

2. DOUBLE-Soft Reset
It will stop all application on Blackberry and it’s pretty same with hard reset but the different is only the TIMING. Just do Soft reset and display will be black/blank. After the display is not black anymore press ALT+Right SHIFT (CAP)+DELETE again and the display will be blank. The sandclock will show up and wait untilBlackBerry ready to use.

3. Hard Reset
It’s so simple, just release the battery for 30 seconds and tide again. The BlackBerry will boot from the beginning. This is the first step if something wrong with network, software or hardware.

Google to Launch Nexus One in India

Google’s Nexus One smartphone is already being sold in different locations around the world, but so far not in India. It has now been reported that Google is planning a launch of a ’scaled down’ version of the Nexus One for the Indian market.

Currently details havent been release, but im sure the price would hopefully reflect the market and also the specs. There is a very big mobile phone market in India which is dominated by Nokia and Blackberry.

The original Nexus One features 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen, 512MB Flash along with a 4GB microSD slot, video recording at 20 frames per second and numerous Google services such as Gmail, Google Search etc.

For all that’s in the air for now, a report suggests that the new Nexus One for India will have a 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen and Snapdragon processor but with a downgraded memory and Camera. Now, let’s wait and watch if Google really makes a hit on this one.

Foursquare About To Launch New iPhone Application

Foursquare the location based social network game is just about to release a new version of their iPhone application. The new application will feature a revamped interface, a brand new user tab, and a new checkin history view.

This version of the app – v1.6 – should be heading to the App Store soon. Nick Starr shared screenshots of it with us and we’ve included a few below so that you can see some of the new features.

Looking at the images from Foursquare 1.6, the first thing you’ll notice is that the interface has been totally revamped. The colors, icons and menu layout are all completely restyled and rearranged in a much more appealing manner.

Nokia Launch C Series with Nokia C5 Candybar Mobile Phone

Nokia will be soon releasing their first handset from their C Series, and it will be in the form of the Nokia C5 Candybar.

Opera Releases Native Opera Mini 5 App For Windows Mobile Phones

This morning Opera announced that it has released a native version of Opera Mini 5 beta for handsets running Windows Mobile 5 and 6.

Interestingly, the new WinMo version of Opera Mini does not require Java. That basically means any Windows Mobile phone can accommodate the app.

Despite not requiring Java, Opera Mini 5 beta for Windows Mobile includes the same feature set as the Java-based version. That means features like tabbed browsing, speed dial, bookmarks and the password manager are built right in (also see video below).

More and more people are accessing the web via their phone. Statistics show that the iPhone and other smart phones are leading the field in the US and Europe where as cheaper Java cell phones are number one in Africa and South America. Windows Mobile 7 Features

The Mobile World Congress will be held in Barcelona this year and just in a few days more: February the 15^th. And it is almost confirmed that Windows Mobile 7 will be presented to the community, taking a good overview of the incoming features.

For the rumors that leaked already, seems that it will have important enhancements (regarding with interoperability mostly) and some other similarities with other mobile OS. Let’s take a quick look:

The UI will be quite similar that we’ve seen in Zune HD, with a few changes to be confirmed.
Full Zune and XBOX integration.
Full support with Facebook and other social networking mobile apps.
Windows Mobile Device Center: No more. All of the sync options will be replaced by Zune software.
No multi-task support. Here comes the first similarity with iPhone OS; the applications will be paused while working in background.
No Flash support. Hmmm… seems that I’ve seen this before.
Applications will not be available to install by a separate storage. The only possibility to install applications will be using the “MarketPlace”. No, no “AppStore”, the name is “MarketPlace”.
MarketPlace will have a very cool option: “Try before you buy”.
There will be no support for OEM Interfaces. That means Sense UI, SPB Mobile Shell, Point UI, Infinity, and many others will not be allowed.
Release date: September 2010.

Nokia Rolls Out Nokia Custom Dictionary Application for Free Download To Most Nokia Mobile Phones

Nokia has added a new predictive text dictionary to Nokia S60 phones. Nokia has just rolled out the Nokia Custom Dictionary beta app.

This new application pretty much does what it says on the tin and adds the predictive text option to your phone. The app allows you to scan text files to import words or import words from xml file. It also lets you transfer your Custom Dictionary from one Nokia phone to another.

The app supports various Nokia S60 3rd and 5th edition smartphones including Nokia E71, Nokia E63, Nokia 5800 Xpress Music and Nokia X6. It will also work with other Nokia E-Series phones but you may encounter some minor and yet neglible issues. While for older Nokia N-Series phones such as N96, N95, N79, N78 and N82, the app may have limited functionality.

Whichever Nokia smartphone you have, you need to download the by logging in to your Nokia Beta Labs account and download the app from here.

After downloading and installing the app on your Nokia handset, you can start “teaching” your smartphone commonly used words or even create specific word lists that you can share to other Nokia smartphone users and together you can all start buiding a custom dictionary of terms for your Nokia smartphones.

Windows Mobile Overhaul Coming in 2010

The world of smart phones is flourishing. With that prosperity comes the smart phone wars with each rival manufacturer trying to get their share of the market. The main players are companies like Apple, Nokia and of course, Microsoft.

The Windows mobile range has been around for many years – originally as black and white PAs then eventually catching up with Blackberry. But their technology has become dated and has only ever been modified and given updates – now Microsoft say they’re recoding their entire thing and hope to get WinMo 7 out in the world by September.

They say that they’re working towards finalizing the coding for Win 7.0.0 by the summer months. LG have recently leaked that they will be launching a Windows 7 mobile phone in September, so this is starting to look very promising indeed.

In reality though, it’s about time Microsoft caught up. This overhaul is long over due and I’m sure it will be massively anticipated as September approaches.

Apple iPhone OS 4.0 Features! Also, Apple Calling Tablet the iTablet Not The iSlate!

BYG received some exclusive iPhone OS 4.0 details from one of our trusty Apple connects.

Here are some iPhone OS 4.0 features, according to our guy:

There will be multi-touch gestures OS-wide. (Would make sense for that as the rumored OS for the iTablet is close if not the same as the iPhone)
“A few new ways” to run applications in the background — multitasking.
Many graphical and UI changes to make navigating through the OS easier and more efficient. We haven’t had this broken down, but we can only hope for improved notifications, a refreshed homescreen, etc.
The update will supposedly be available for only the iPhone 3G and 3GS, but will “put them ahead in the smartphone market because it will make them more like full-fledged computers” more than any other phone to date. Everyone is “really excited.”
The last piece of information is the most vague, but apparently there will be some brand new syncing ability for the contacts and calendar applications.

Android Based HTC Sprint WiMax ‘Supersonic’ Leaked Specs and Image

Engadget is reporting about the HTC Sprint WiMax ‘Supersonic’ mobile phone.

Features:

Android based mobile running Android 2.1 with HTC’s Sense UI
4.3 inch screen and “svelte shell”.

While word is that it is fast, and Snapdragon has been speculated, the new rumors don’t confirm the specific processor used inside. Since the software is still in its early stages, it doesn’t appear that the new handset will be offered any time soon. Unfortunately, no release date details–rough or otherwise–are available.

As far as aesthetics, the Supersonic was seen in white, but may come in a variety of colors. It will also feature a kickstand on back to allow for convenient upright use.

That’s all the details that have been offered, but they definitely help to paint a promising picture as we work our way to 4G.

Grooveshark Mobile: Listen and Stream Music on Your Android, Blackberry and iPhone Mobile Phones

Grooveshark is one of the worlds most popular music streaming services, but recently they have been having a lot of issues with EMI and now Universal music. All this drama has not stopped them from releasing their own music streaming applications for Android, Blackberry and soon iPhone.

The Grooveshark mobile applications are free to download, but you can only use them if you pay for a premium solution, eg. $3 per month. All of the applications are very feature rich and have great designs just like the main Grooveshark site.

If you arent able to use Spotify and want to listen to your music from the cloud, then Grooveshark is the service for you!

Crazy Nokia Gadget: Modified Nokia Mobile Phone Runs on Coca-Cola

Phsyorg has reported about a new mobile phone that runs on Cola. Daizi Zheng, a Chinese developer who is currently based in London, has modified a Nokia cell phone to run on Coca-Cola or any other sugary solution.

Zheng says the modified phone can run three or four times longer on a single charge than a phone using a conventional lithium ion battery, and can also be fully biodegradable.

As Zheng explains, a sugar-powered phone could potentially offer a much more environmentally friendly power source than lithium ion batteries. The new phone’s bio battery, which basically acts as a fuel cell, uses enzymes as the catalyst to generate electricity from carbohydrates.

The phone can run for several hours, and produces water and carbon dioxide as the battery runs down. The phone can then be emptied out and refilled with more Coca-Cola.

Zheng designed the phone as a client project for Nokia, but there’s no word on whether the company plans to incorporate the concept into future products.

“It brings a whole new perception to batteries and afternoon tea,” Zheng wrote on her project’s website.

Bug Makes it Easy to By-Pass Security and Access Droid Phones

When you lock your phone you assume that your Emails, browsing history, text messages and personal data are secure. You could leave your phone in a crowded room knowing nobody could access it without you inputting the pattern on the touch-screen which is how Droids’ security work. However, a bug which was only recently discovered and made public on the Internet has compromised all phones with 2.0.1 versions which apparently is the bulk of the Droid market.

When the phone is receiving an incoming call, all you have to do is press the ‘back’ button and you’ll be brought to the home screen. So theoretically, if you wanted to access somebody’s Droid phone all you have to do is call it and then press the back button on the device. Voila! Instant access to all their personal data.

“We are aware of the issue and we’re working to deliver a fix to Motorola Droids shortly.” said a spokesperson.

My memory is cast back to August of 2008 when a very similar bug for the iPhone’s screenlock as discovered. When will companies learn that security is now a paramount concern for all tech users?

Cellphone Radiation Prevent Effects of Alzheimers

It has been suggested by a group of researchers that exposure on a long-term basis to cell phone radiation may be able to fend off some of the affects of Alzheimer’s disease which causes loss of memory, specifically in those over the age of 55.

The study is currently being carried out on mice who are being exposed to radiation identical to that from cell phones which millions of us use each day. The University of South Florida is base camp for the tests.

Obviously, this was the exact opposite of what the researchers expected to find. They are now working towards safely speeding up the process in the hope of preventing the effects in actual people and maybe even reversing the effects in those who have already been diagnosed with the disease. So it appears that cell phone radiation can be good for you as well!

GrooveMaker is a new Electro and Drum and Bass app that helps musicians to create their own music. The interface itself is pretty impressive and looks much like your portable DJ Box, with 8 stereo loop tracks and a huge library of numerous drum beats, effects and lines to make your remix ever more groovy. This application seems great for the average person who wants to have a little fun and make some cool beats, but this app just isnt professional enough to actually be used as a commercial tool.

Official Yammer App for Android

Over a year after a third-party app was released for Yammer users with an Android, Yammer have decided it’s time to release their own official app to compliment their service which enables people working within a company or group to send updates as to what they’re doing which is fed into a constant stream, like Twitter.

The app can be ran in the background while you use the phone on a day to day basis. It will vibrate or make a noise when the stream is updated by a colleague answering the boilerplate Yammer question, ‘What are you doing?’

The pre-release version is still reported to contain many bugs and I doubt it will be ready until late Spring of next year.

I think that this app will make switching from the iPhone to cheaper android devices much easier. Many people depend on Apple’s device purely because of the apps – now with many alternatives in the hands of the competitors, the iPhone could be in trouble. Expect a price drop in early 2010.

Reach Rockstar Status with Tap Tap Revenge 3

Guitar Hero, done it. Rock Band, yep, did that too! I’ve not been a big fan of the mobile versions for some of these, even on the Nintendo DS the Guitar Hero just didn’t port well without cramping up and wishing your had double joints on your double joints. Still there’s no denying that these games are a lot of fun, whether you’re playing on your own or playing with a group. Mastering the moves, hearing the songs, and remembering the days when you wanted to be a real rockstar, are all part of the experience.

Recently Tap Tap Revenge 3 had been released for the iPhone and iTouch. I’ve completely overlooked parts 1 and 2, but 3 caught my eye with all the buzz it was getting, so naturally it was hard to pass up. I’ve since been addicted to the game, using it to fill the idle time in my day now. The game integrates rhythm play, color recognition, and increasing levels of difficulty that keep the game interesting. What is an even bigger draw is the mix of in game tunes and popular mainstream music that is played in the game.

Tap Tap Revenge 3 allows users to create an avatar that you buy in game items for to dress them up and increase your rockstar cred. You get the points to buy gear and new tracks from the in game coins you collect for mastering songs. The better you do the more coin you earn, simple enough. Thinking myself better than most I quickly went to hard and saw that I was way out of league. The game definitely takes some getting used to, but you lose track of the frustration as you listen to some of your favorite songs.

The visuals are nothing to laugh at either. Color backgrounds and user interface keeps you hooked to the game as you try to match speed with the music. I recommend this game for anyone used to the Guitar Hero and Rockband series. It’s not as stressful to your hands, so no cramps, but still offers a big enough challenge to keep you going and perhaps challenging your friends.

The app is free, so go check it out and enjoy the becoming the rockstar you always wanted!

Livestream Allows Users To Stream Live to iPhone, iPod Touch or Any Mobile Device

Junaio: Augmented Reality Social Network for iPhone and Android

Metaio is a very interesting company that has started to develop some great augmented reality iPhone applications.

Metaio has just announced a new social network called Junaio which is based around augmented reality.

The newest version of the mobile augmented reality platform includes new and improved features such as:

1) Enhanced live overlay and local search: powered using Google Local Search, now you can visually search for points of interest like restaurants, cafes, or anything in your location

2) New social features: Ability to rate, comment on others scenes, publish your own augmented reality to social networks like Facebook and Twitter

3) Improved user interface and enhancements: greater usability and fast download speed

To me this seems to be a very weird yet interesting mix between the real world and social networking online.

For those of us that have a knack for words, Scrabble has long been a favorite. Many of us enjoy the challenge of sparring one another with our wits and knowledge. In today’s mobile world there was little chance of us playing Scrabble until now.

Recently I’ve found the pleasure of a mobile Scrabble app called Words with Friends. This app replicates everything I remembered from playing Scrabble with my family that I instantly became hooked. Words with Friends has an amazing number of additions that truly define this powerhouse of entertainment.

For starters you are able to connect two of the most popular social profiles, Facebook and Twitter. This will not only announce your scores but also invite your friends to join you in a game. Furthermore the app has the built in ability to run more than one game at a time. When I started playing, it was not unusual for me to be playing four to five games at once. Definitely something you could not do with a Scrabble board.

You are capable of communicating with your competitor via an internal chat system within the game, and the push notifications make it useful for you to play your round and walk away. When your opponent makes their move, your are instantly notified and games continue when you have time. It’s not uncommon for players to carry on multiple games at the same time and all games are time stamped when the last play was made and by whom.

The app is FREE, but be warned, the game is highly addicting and may be responsible for a huge loss of time throughout the day.

Free Pingdom iPhone App To Monitor Uptime Of Your Websites

Pingdom provides the basic principle of alerting website owners when their website or server goes down, therefore the best addition would of course be push notification on the iPhone. Today Pingdom has announced a new 2.0 version of their iPhone application. New features are push notifications and graphs, so here are examples.

The new Pingdom iPhone app has also added graphs that let you examine trends in the uptime, downtime and response time of your site. These graphs are similar to the ones you can access in Pingdom’s regular online control panel, but now you can play around with them right on your iPhone.

LG Expo, Mobile Phone that Projects

Mobile phones are hot devices that are increasingly becoming the standard bywhich businesses are succeeding or failing. Companies not accessible via mobile devices are losing ground, while the device itself is starting to replace laptops and desktops for reading, searching, and geo-locating on the go.

Recently the LG Expo ($200) was announced and this mobile phone offers an interesting addition to the mobile lineup.
