Bose Founder Gives Away More than Half of His Company to MIT
In bizarre news, the Bose founder has decided to give away the majority of his company to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. According to a statement on the MIT website, the gift is in the form of non-voting shares.
It seems like the University will have no active role in the company and they are never allowed to sell the shares. This is a huge gift considering the company turned over more than $2 billion in 2010.
