It seems as though Google has simplified the Google Chrome logo yesterday. Goodbye 3D and now we have a sexy flat logo.
The new logo has been appearing in a number of areas, but there is still no official word from Google (unlike Google).
The new logo was added just before Google Chrome adds a lot of great new features. Its rumoured that Google Chrome will be adding the ability to select multiple tabs, which is handy for managing the tab chaos some of us suffer, and abbreviated tab titles to better distinguish similar pages.
What do you think of the new Google Chrome Logo
Twitlogo lets you generate in a simple way, with any text, a logo with all the similarity as in Twitter logo.

It also has some options for you to customize the text you are using: Font size, color and the outline color. After you’ve created the image, you’ll get the link to download the file as a PNG, simple as that.
Even though there is nothing magical about this web app, can be very helpful to create the logo with your Twitter username and placing it in your site.
Adidas Superstars represents one of the most popular models of the German company; and also is one of the most used today as vintage models of shoes. And now, for their 35 anniversary, they are preparing the Facebook and Twitter models.
Honestly I’m not quite convinced about all the “Facebook” included in this model, sounds a bit too much. On the inside they’ve also included the following “Facebook is a social utility that connects you with the people around you” and “Making the world open and connected”.

The Twitter model seems a bit better; they’ve included the Twitter bird logo and the original color used by the micro-blogging web app.

Logo Launch prepared a nice report about the logos designed in this year and analyzes which were and are the current trends that designers and companies are following.
Logo Launch is a community for designers, who wants to show the world their work. They provide a book, offered in Amazon, about the most relevant logos uploaded into their site. Using that input, they’ve came up with this result after reviewing around 35,000 logos received.
Here’s a short summary about this year’s logos:
- There is plenty of optimism shining through in many designs—or at least clients are trying to bravely declare through their identities that they aren’t the slightest bit afraid.
- There is significantly more warping, faceting, and animation.
- Circles upon circles upon circles, especially nested inside each other and of diminishing sizes, are everywhere, as are building objects from circles.
- “Greeness” is still pervasive, but it no longer apparently has to be expressed by the color green: Any fresh palette will do.
- Finally, there is another significant development. For many years, successful logos were built from beautiful shapes. They were usually one color, or perhaps they incorporated a few colors. Now, designers have begun to look at the actual surface of the shapes as an entirely new canvas that can be addressed in myriad ways. Good draftsmanship and good ideas are still crucial to the process, but surface effects now add entirely new levels of meaning.
Here are some of the logos arranged by categories:
Cubist

Tendrils

Hexahedron
Stains
