WirelessKeyView is a simple and free application which could be quite helpful for those with a short memory for passwords: This app retrieves any wireless key saved in our current operating system.

Wireless networks have become a must in every home and office, and always using those require us for setting minimum security parameters like a passphrase. The drawback is that we usually just save these keys with the operating system and never type it again; and if we re install the operating system or we want to share it with a friend, we found ourselves with the same question: “What was it?”

How to use it?

Download WirelessKeyView.

No installation required. Run the WirelessKeyView.exe.

Now you can access all the WEP/WPA keys stored in your computer.

Even though Windows 7 introduces major changes in the encryption algorithms, this tool supports the latest Windows operating system. But I’ve noticed some issues with the 64bits version.
