The LusBook S is powered by an Intel Core i3-2330M, 11.6” (1366×768) screen, an Intel HD 3000 graphics, 500GB of HDD, 4GB of RAM, Bluetooth 3.0, SDXC, HDMI, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi GBN for a total weight of 1.5kg and a price of 69,930 Yen.

No, we are not covering the latest’s news in the automobiles world; this is a brand new release by ASUS presenting to the world a very powerful notebook: Lamborghini VX7.

Intel Celeron Overclocked to 8195.5MHZ

Yeap, you read it right, an Intel Celeron D Processor was overclocked from 3.06 GHz to 8.19 GHz. This clock speed has set a new record for overclocked processors speed.

Intel Celeron D 347 is the model for this processor and contains the NeBurst architecture based in the Cedar Mill core (65nm). Here are all the specs used to achieve the overclocking:

Progress Thru Processors – The New Way to Help

IntelDonating to charity or even volunteering can be tough. You either don’t have the time, the cash or simply don’t want to. However, most of us will want to help a good cause in some way or another. Intel, Facebook, and Grid Republic have teamed up to allow Facebook users to do exactly that with their new app ‘Progress Thru Processors’.

This app, which was launched yesterday and is available to all Facebook users will utilize extra processing power from their computers when it is not in use and use that power on a huge network of other donators to run many different programs on central computers in labs and research facilities. The reason why these labs such as Africa@home and Climateprediction.net can’t simply do it themselves is because the amount of power needed to examine protine particles or predict theretical weather simulations is huge and extremely expensive.

The whole operation could not have been done without Grid Republic who had the technology to link up the PCs with extra processing power and use them properly giving each one a small crumb of the huge task, which will hopefully all come together to solve sciences big questions.

“By simply running an application on your computer, which uses very little incremental resources, you can expand computing resources to researchers,” Deborah Conrad, Intel vice president and general manager of corporate marketing, said in a statement.
