Gigablast seems to have relaunched their product without any talk from the blogosphere. If you are unaware, Gigablast is a search engine, which competes directly with Google, Yahoo, Ask and more. This market is ultra-competitive with billions of dollars at stake.

The previous version of Gigablast had a completely different design, but more importantly the algorithm they were using was just not up to the task. With the new version of the site, the algorithm has been greatly improved, but I cant seeing the product ever competing with Google.

Gigablast however doesnt sell advertising positions inside their search results. Thus, their business model is based around providing algorithm search results for other partners. Currently Gigablast has around 50 search partners including, Mamma, Snap, Eurekster and Find.com.
