Asian Horror Movies is neat and friendly website that allows you to watch Asian Horror movies online for free. You can watch it directly on the website’s online player only as it does not give you the option of downloading a movie. The website also gives you a list of A-Z Asian horror movies that you can choose from. The movies that are available on the website also have a small synopsis about the movie so that you get an idea of what the movie is about before watching it.

Drama freak allows you to watch Asian movies and dramas of various genres online for free. This website doesn’t give you the option of downloading stuff but only watch it on the website’s online player. You get a long list of movies and dramas that you can choose and watch from. Movies and dramas have a small description about them so that get a hang of the movie or drama before you watch. Youku is the China’s first video website. It offers a wide range of videos and media to choose from like music, Tv shows, reality shows, movies, news and lots more for free. Its more of a video sharing website. The website is in Chinese but you can Google’s translator to translate the website. This is an excellent website to visit and view all kind of Chinese videos.
5. Kung Fu Flicks
Kung Fu Flicks dedicates itself to offer only Kung Fu movies. It gives you an A-Z list of Kung Fu movies to choose and watch from for free. A short description of every movie is also provided to know more about the movie before you watch it. The movies are updated frequently and the site is very neatly laid out. The website allows you to watch the movies on its online web player and does not let you download it.
FreeLoader is a great company for cool gizmos and gadgets that come in handy and save you some money. Their new solar charger which they have just unveiled is the latest in a long line of such products. It’s small, slim and handheld, as you can see in the picture above.
It consists of two solar panels and a lithium battery. It can charge the average iPod in just eight hours which isn’t too bad considering you could just leave it on your window sill. This will give you 28 hours of power for an iPod or 70 for the average mobile phone. It flips around to open like a switch blade and then folds right back up, just like that. You wouldn’t notice it in your back pocket.
This would definitely suit campers and explorers who need to charge cameras, phone and iPods while away instead of carrying three or four cumbersome battery packs. Freeloader don’t concentrate on the green aspect, only the practical side.

Everyone knows that each of the major search engine has little quirks that state its individuality. For Google, it the special event logo (or doodle as it’s known) which changes on big events such as the 4th of July or Christmas. Bing however, has different photographs for backgrounds which change every now and again.
I found this cool application called Bing4Free which will download the new photograph when it goes live and put it as your desktop wallpaper. The Images are quite small unfortunately, 958×512 to be exact, but you can always select to stretch them across your screen with slightly reduced quality.
Other options include setting how often you want it to update the images (if you don’t want it do do it whenever a new image goes live) and how many images you want to queue up at any one time.
This is quite a cool program for anyone who like to change up their desktop, whether they use Bing or not.
Whilst most other smart phone companies have got their app stores well and truly grounded such as Apple and Android, Blackberry are only now catching up. The latest most notable addition to their store is the official EBay app.
This cool app will allow people to bid, watch and pay for items on EBay right from their smart phones. However, that’s not that impressive because you can do that from a mobile browser. What is impressive is how it looks. As you can see from the screenshot below all the auction information is combines into one, easy-to-use screen.
Also, the app is integrated with the phone’s other features such as the calendar. Say you have a bid on an item and the auction is ending soon. Well an alarm will be set from the app on the phones colander and it will notify you if it needs and interaction on your part. It will also tell you if you won or lost the auction right away.
Unfortunately, the only method of payment using the app is PayPal – which i guess is for security reasons.
Many of you may be aware of an existing third-party EBay app for the Blackberry and wonder why you should bother with this one. Well this one doesn’t cost $10 – it’s free!
Previously here on Crenk we have reviewed many sites that aim at providing users with a hub for being able to watch movies online without downloading anything. Today we have come across another site that claims to do this the best, FreeMoviesTheatre.
FreeMoviesTheatre pretty much does what it says on the tin and that is provide some great movies users can watch right within their browser. The site itself provides a great list of genres from Animated to Bollywood and Sci-Fi. All the latest movies are there too, plus they have a simple option to download the movies. I would like to see the site have a easier download function instead of using a third party, however if they did this them I’m sure their site would be illegal.
Currently, FreeMoviesTheatre has over 4500 movies online and they are growing fast. Im not entirely too sure how legal this site is, but make use of it before they get taken down!
So Christmas is coming – or so the advertisers would have us believe. Still, it can’t be a bad time to get the office e-cards out of the way I suppose. For the past few years a popular services has ruled the internet Christmas card market – and this year it’s back again.
ElfYourself lets you embed the head of yourself, a friend, family member or co-worker on the tiny body of and elf in scenes such as Crazy Dancing and Hip-Hop Elfs.
However, it has also linked up with Twitter and Facebook so you can share your creations online with your buddies and even distribute hilarious ones among your network via connecting with friends on Facebook or simply tweeting your card.
So what are you waiting for – get over there and Elf Yourself.
Photoshop software can be expensive – especially considering that most of us don’t use it that often. Obviously the industry standard is Adobe Photoshop. This program has been a cornerstone in image editing and photography for years now. However, I’d like to share with the Crenk readers a great freeware Photoshop program that’s just as good – if not better because…well… it’s free!
At the minute, GIMP is in version 2.6 and is available to download here.
It has photo enhancement, a fully customizable interface, barrel distortion, digital retouching, great hardware support, numerous file formats and the ability to run on pretty much any OS.

Okay, so I’m going to share with you guys the great WP theme that a colleague of mine directed me to for my new blog. This theme incorporates the minimalistic feel while still having all the functionality of a highly strung WP theme packed with plug ins.
Her name is Arthemia.
As you can see from the screenshot below she’s a beaut. Great menu bar across the top, followed by a headline section with a scrolling ‘Featured’ slot to the right. Below this there is a categories bar with cool animation when you hover your cursor over a category.
Then, below all of this magic we have the posting area with a sidebar to the right. Amidst all of this there are two premium ad placements; one square in the sidebar and another to the right of the title.
It’s available for free (although there is a slightly pimped out premium version available) right here. Seriously, for any WP user who has been finding it difficult to locate the right theme for their blog that says “I don’t take myself too seriously, but my blog? That I do.” – it has to be Arthemia.

Many sites such as MegaVideo, Vreel and other offer the ability to watch some of our favourite TV shows and Movies. However, does that time limit put in place by Megavideo bother you? Or how about just wanting to watch it on your iPod? So why not download the videos? Oh yeah, they charge you for that.
Well, here at Crenk we have a quick, easy and FREE way to download videos from sites like Megavideo.
1. Get the video’s URL. Most players offer this next to the embed code for the video etc… or in the address bar in the browser. In Megavideo it’s one of the options along the bottom of the screen.
2. Go to www.clipnabber.com .
3. Enter the space provided at Clip Nabber. Press ‘Nab It!”
4. Then (required for Megavideo only), go back to the video page and right click outside of the video and view the page’s source. Or, click edit in the Browser’s menu and select to view it there. Select all of the code and paste it into the HTML box that appeared in ClipNabber.
5. Press ‘Nab It!” again.
6. Click on the link to download the video.
Now chances are that Clip Nabber has given you a .FLV video which can only be played in Real Player. To convert this into an .mp4 or .avi, use this video converter.
Now you can put the video on your iPod.
iCyte is a tool that allows you to capture web pages and highlight text on them and then save them to your account. It comes in the form of an ad-on for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox and it is available here.
It works by saving the webpage and its formatting into a file (or Cyte) which you can then add tags and notes too. When you need to retrieve the file you can open up iCyte in the sidebar of your browser and see all of the Cytes you’ve stored so far.
I found this tool to be especially useful for research and taking notes without printing off dozens of pages. The ability to separate your Cytes into different ‘projects’ makes it easy to use, as does the search function.
For anyone who engages in high amounts of research or just likes a little bit of order among their saved web pages – Cyte is for you.
