Twitlogo lets you generate in a simple way, with any text, a logo with all the similarity as in Twitter logo.
It also has some options for you to customize the text you are using: Font size, color and the outline color. After you’ve created the image, you’ll get the link to download the file as a PNG, simple as that.
Even though there is nothing magical about this web app, can be very helpful to create the logo with your Twitter username and placing it in your site.
Microsoft released recently a Harry Potter theme for Windows 7 and is completely free for download; take a look in this link.

TeamViewer developed recently the version 6 for their popular remote access software, they’ve included the mobile version as well and now the Android app is available to download.
TeamViewer is one of the most know applications we can use to access computers remotely, their free version is quite complete and with no complexity for installing nor using it. The mobile versions represent a great tool if we need some quick access to remote machines, that’s why they’ve developed the apps for iPhone, iPad and now Android (beta).

Rovio, the company in charge of the development of the famous iPhone game “Angry Birds”, created a few wallpapers to use them in your iPhone or desktop.
With over 6.5M downloads, we cannot say this game did not make a mark; and now, all of the fans can enjoy some of nice quality images as wallpapers:
FacetoFind is a simple and free web app which allows us to search videos within Facebook network. No registration required, just type in your search and you’ll get the results.
Even though Facebook’s search could be a very powerful tool to find people, pages, applications or groups; still there’s no easy way to find content like videos. FacetoFind can simplify all this work; but even more you can download those videos to your PC.
You don’t need to register nor install any application, just access the site and enjoy the videos. The site also contains the “most viewed” and “most recent videos” available.
Chad Engle had a simple and useful idea for those in love with the new Twitter design: He created a background template which we can use it to design our own backgrounds with the guarantee that it will fit perfectly in the new Twitter.
This background template includes all the necessary info for you to design the background properly, like the “Twitter container” (where we usually find our timeline with all the tweets), and also the reference for all common resolutions possible. Download it directly from here.
Chad makes an important remark about the new Twitter design “Twitter aligns all backgrounds to the left. Also, you can put elements to the far right but be aware that some users will not see them depending on what monitor/resolution they are running”.
I think Twitter decided this “left design” instead of a central to focus the reading on the left pane.
Akregator is a news feed reader available for Linux, where we can access our common feeds from a KDE desktop. Even though it was designed for KDE, Akregator is also available from Ubuntu download center making it possible using in Gnome.
If you usually access and use RSS to get the latest news from sites and blogs, you should know that the way we are retrieving the information is crucial for not missing anything important. If we don’t have a simple GUI in the application we are using, probably we just won’t read anything.
Akregator’s simplicity brings the simple features we may need in a RSS reader: organizing feeds in folders, quick preview, full search possibilities, etc.

Songr is a completely free and small application which we can use to search over 16 music engines and directly download files within the app. And even more, we can download YouTube high-quality videos and if we prefer, just extracting and downloading the audio from the video.

You thought that you had enough of icons already? Well, not yet. IconShock, a well-known design company, created a very complete set of 150 social media icons and they are all for free.
