There has been a lot of talk this moring about the new Dell XPS15z being copied from a Macbook Pro. After inspecting the images from Engadget it seems that its remarkable how similar the laptops actually are.

The Dell XPS15z has a 15 inch screen and it has a lot more style compared to your average Dell laptop. However, it comes with a $999 price tag.

Dell has announced the full range of their Windows 7 tablets that will be launching in 2011. There werent exactly too many details, but here is the list.

“The upcoming tablet is designed for end-users who need greater mobility, as well as IT organizations that demand control, security, manageability and integration with existing infrastructure investments,” quips Dell. “Dell’s tablet will empower a more mobile workforce in a way that offers customers the business applications and corporate data they need, while meeting regulatory mandates and IT requirements.”

T3 Mag, a tech publication based in Greece, released a video with two presenters (and a very unfunny DELLicious joke). When watching it, I recommend skipping right to the end. This is the interesting bit.

They point out that the dock, which will be available separately from the device, had a HDMI output port which presumably runs either to a TV or PC (or both). I think that Dell have made a great addition here. HDTV is new enough to the market and with 3DTV hot on it heels so it’s great that we’re starting to see some serious compatibility on mobile devices. Hopefully it will enable us to have a better mobile entertainment industry.

More tablet news now, except this one wasn’t expected by anyone. It’s not too often that you hear of company prototypes being sold for over a grand on the black market, but it appears that it’s just happened.

PC Online managed to get their hands on an early version of Dell’s Tablet which is still in development. It was unmarked on the exterior but a model number under the battery read ‘M01M’.

This leak has confirmed many of our suspicions about the Mini 5.

The latest to enter the fray is the Dell Mini 5, which is planned for later this year and no pricing  mentioned. The Dell Mini 5 looks to blur the lines between laptop and mobile phone with it’s 5 in. touch screen, 5 mega-pixel cam and equally impressive web cam, SIM slots, Wi-Fi enabled, and running the Android OS. This little device sounds like a pretty powerful addition to anyone’s arsenal, especially with the increasing popularity with Android.

Already custom colors are being planned on the initial release to appeal to the masses. The announcement at this year’s CES caused a stir so it will be interesting to see where Dell’s device falls in terms of consumer satisfaction.

Dell Mini 5 is the latest tablet to join this years most anticipated product.
