This morning I came across a great savings site that I thought I would share will all our Crenk readers. Savings.com is a startup that provides some amazing savings across various retailers throughout the world.

Overall im a big fan of what Savings.com is trying to provide the average internet user. The design of the site itself is great and Im a big fan of the fact that they dont have any basic display advertising putting off users, but this could be a great revenue stream for the site in the near future. Offers.com is the leading coupon and special offers website on the World Wide Web these days – having worked damn hard to get there over the past six years that it has been online. Every single day the upload hundreds of new offers and coupon codes for us consumers to devour and save money on.
Some offers I seen after just a few minutes of browsing could save you up to 50% – not bad for the Christmas shopping!
Recently, they launched a new feature on their website called ‘Locker’. This new feature allows you to store and track offers from certain companies and websites without even having to register. Beside every offer on the website there is a ‘Watch this offer’ button, once you click it the offer is stored in your locker on that computer. However, if you want to have access to your offers from multiple computers or devices it’s recommended that you sign up with just an e-mail address.

Advertisements on the TV and in newspapers from supermarkets are constantly telling us that they’re cheaper than the next guy offering “1,000 cheapest prices” etc… However, how do you really know that you’re getting a bargain on the whole shopping list all together. Well, very soon you’ll be able to find out using Grocio.
It launched a Beta on Monday in Tulsa in which supermarkets and shops submitted pricelists and coupons to the site. When users enter in their shopping list the grocery search engine does its magic and gives you the cheapest store for your shopping list. On top of that money saving idea, they will also give you coupons that you can print out and use in the store.
I can see this being a hit nationwide so long as the big stores keep submitting their price lists. Some see it a healthy competition, others see it as promotion while others see it as the end to small businesses. If the pricelists stop coming then Grocio will go down the tubes.
Gerard Buckley owns the site and is hopeful for its future. He couldn’t have picked a better time to launch such a site as people look to buy in bulk, shop around and ultimately save money.
