iBible: A Good Web App to Read the Bible

Reading the Bible, for those who are interested can be difficult in some regards. The most obvious being that the thing is huge with thousands of years worth of literature crammed in one binding, not exactly making it a pocket-sized reader.

ibible

iBible is a web app which makes reading and referencing the Bible easy.

Basically, because it’s all so simple and plain; consisting mostly of buttons for each chapter and the rest being text, loading it on any device connected to the internet is quick and easy. This makes it suitable for PC users as well as when you’re on the go such as on a mobile phone using GPRS Internet, a PSP or iPhone.

It’s available in several languages including English, French, German and Polish. The home screen is where you select you language and the screens after this whittle your choice down from Testament, to books, to chapters such as the one I read; Genesis 6.

Amazon Kindle To Be Launch in UK Next Week

Amazon’s Kindle e-reader has been getting a lot of great reviews ever since its launch in the USA in 2007 and now it is set to make its way to the UK. It has been reported by the The Bookseller that claims Amazon is preparing to announce the device as early as next week. This announcement is of course timed nicely so that the Kindle will have a nice run up to Christmas.

The delay in launching internationally has been down to the internet connection used on the Kindle. The connection works over mobile phone networks and allows users to browse and buy book wherever they can get a phone signal. Qualcomm has reportedly been working on a version of the Kindle compatible with UK mobile frequencies.

Moving the Kindle into the UK market will really help move the e-reader market, in which is still yet to take off here in the UK.

Marina at Hot For Words Releases Her First Book, But Lack of Substance!

Marina from Hot For Words has just released her new book. It provides a series of words and their origins, but at the same time is also provides just as many photos of her im guessing doing some modeling. Im not really too sure if this is a book or just a mix between a calendar and a down graded version of playboy.

Marina is quickly becoming one of the biggest stars on YouTube while also making a huge amount of appearances on television in the US. It is great to see her doing well and she plays on her look brilliantly. I really do hope she enjoys her success and can actually build on this popularity and provide something of substance, not just be a model with a different angle.

Macbook Air: Coming To An Apple Store Near You On Wednesday!

Since the introduction of the Macbook Air at MacWorld a week or so ago, there has been a lot of talk around the blogosphere about this new exciting product. I just thought I would write a very quick article and let everyone know that this revolutionary product will be available in the Apple Stores in the USA on Wednesday.

The guys over at TUAW mentioned that the Air might be cleverly disguised as stacks of interoffice mail, no doubt.

Kindle Gets Crunched

I tried to embed the show from Kyte.tv, but when this happened it would only show the most recent video on the Scoble Channel. How annoying! Anyways, here is the link to Arrington on the Kindle and it is weird to see Arrington with a sense of humour! haha.
