IM clients are used a lot by nearly everyone every day on the net. There are some big players in the IM aggregation market such as Meebo and eBuddy. These aggregators bring together the most popular instant messaging clients and allows users to use one login to use all of their IM accounts.
Chatab is a new instant messaging aggregator that is aiming to grow awareness and grab some marketshare from the larger players. Unlike the major players Chatab is not jus trying to aggregator the major IM clients, Chatab is trying to add users by offering them a huge variety of IM clients. For example eBuddy looks after 7 key IM accounts (Facebook, MSN, Yahoo, GTalk and more.), Chatab has all those services and about another 7 more (such as LiveJournal, XMPP and more).
Chatab seems to have a lot of potential with its core technology, however there is still a huge amount to do in terms of user interface. The design of Chatab is still very poor and overall it just seems a little amateuristic. If Chatab is going to move forward and actually become a real quality startup then they need provide their users with a great peice of mind they are using a quality secure service.

Today I came across a very interesting new video news site, which aims to provide news from not just one source but as many as possible. Newsy is the video news service that introduces a topic and then goes through relevant sources to find the best opinions from around the web.
Newsy covers topics such as world news, business news, technology, environment and more. The format of each show is simple, the introduce a basic topic and then search the web for the leading views on that specific topic for the day. Thus, it is kind of a news video aggregator, as it provides the leading sources in one simple place.
Im sure Newsy will become quite a popular site, simply because of how easy it is to see the latest news from multiple sources in one place. However, most users want to see a large number of headings in one simple place and normally the easiest way to do this is text, because there is still a limitation to how much you can fit into a view.

Finding quality articles can be time consuming in today’s era where we are hooked to reading interesting and worthwhile info on topics we like. Regator is such an aggregator portal which searches and provides interesting articles and latest news and happenings in technology, health, entertainment, sports, and latest happenings in business and finance sector, all organized and categorized at one place.
Regator is a portal where you can find links to various interesting article published on web from time to time. So you don’t have to search and keep looking for an hour for something useful and interesting to read. The Site has various categories where you can find articles of that niche and click on the link to read it. Actually regator has a team of few people who work to search these articles from sites and blogs that provide quality content and put them at one place for people to read.
You can even search posts and articles on your favorite reality shows or episodes. There is a ’search’ and even ‘advanced search’ feature for you to search for specific reviews of products like your favorite ‘iPhone’ or cool new ‘Nokia N97’ and you will find tons of posts on it. Also you can register on site and rate the posts you read on regator and the highest rated articles are shown on the front page of regator, just like the other social bookmarkers like Digg. You can personalize a lot on regator including organizing, saving and rating your favorite articles and posts.
Not only does it have article search but also audio and video posts for those who like watching more than reading. If you specifically like reading content from blog, they also have that search category – ‘Blog results’ on front page. Regator has nearly 2 millions posts archived by them till now. Its actually archiving the best of weblogs content and presenting it in a organized and searchable way.

Spotplex was touted as a Digg killer by many! It never eventuated! Why do you think it never really grew to be a strong player in the content aggregation market?? Well I know why, CAUSE I CAN NEVER GET IT TO WORK PROPERLY!!
The site itself has very good fundamental and the service could be very very useful but possibly they are having a lot of problems because it provides dynamic and instant content.
Does anyone use Spotplex and what do you think about it service?
