The Internet Movie Database has agreed to acquire Without A Box, Inc. Without A Box is a worldwide media company dedicated to advancing independent film and connecting artists with audiences.
Without A Box was established back in 2000 and will continue to function as a stand-alone operation based in the Los Angeles area. The amount is undisclosed.Â
Im looking forward to seeing hwo Without A Box will tap in to IMDBs’ 50 million fans that visit the site per month.
The latest news is the Google has agreed to acquire mobile startup Zingku. There is very little know about the company, but according to Zingku themselves this is what they do:
“Our service is designed from the mobile phone, outward, allowing you to create and exchange things of interest ranging from invitations to “mobile flyers†with friends in a trusted manner. On the mobile phone, Zingku uses standard text messaging and picture messaging features that come with every phone. On the web, our service uses your standard web browser and instant messenger. There is nothing to install.â€
