Dark Side of the Moon: The 8-bit version

Is the “Dark Side of the Moon” the best album ever released? Ok, then you are going to love this one: MOON8 project edited the revolutionary Pink Floyd record and compiled entirely in a MIDI format… ok, maybe you are not going to love it all that much.

“Have you ever wondered what Dark Side of the Moon would sound like if Pink Floyd had written it for NES, instead of for a rock band?” Actually I did ask myself that after I heard it for the first time, standing right next to my 8-bit Nintendo I thought “If there’s a Dark Side of the Moon videogame, how it would sound like?” :)

Ok even though the idea sounds funny, the work made with this still is remarkable. Farmitracker was the responsible to get it done, with the rendering of NSFplug and sound editing with Audacity.

Wedding Invitation with a 8-bit Video Game

“We are geeks. We love video games. Why not have a video game invite?” said Darina when offbeatbride.com asked her about how they came up with the amazing idea to use a 8-bit video game as their wedding invitations.

Here’s how it works, the invitations include the video game that has a two-player choice, you can decide to be either the bride or the groom. And the goal in this Mario-Bros-Type video game is to go through the entire level and you’ll see all the wedding info.

Here’s the gamplay of Niko’s and Darina’s wedding game:

And even more, you can download the game from this link and see it for yourself.

Should I say “I love it!!” or you already got the idea?
