Seeqpod: The Free Music and Video Streaming Service

In the last few days Seeqpod has released a new stand-alone application for the Windows Mobile Platform. If you dont already know what Seeqpod is its a search tool that allows users to freely find any “playable” content (music, video, presentations, etc) on the internet, legal and illegal.

Seeqpod has a clean design similar to Google in which you enter the keywords for any content you are looking for, then it provides the user with a list of videos, music, presentations, etc. Currently, Seeqpod is completely free to use on the internet and they seem to make their money through affiliate sales and very limited amounts of advertising at the top of searches. The ads that currently show are normally for bands and they tend to link straight to their myspace pages.

From a user point of view seeqpod is great cause it allows users to make their own playlists and just let it all run. I would like to see this feature also added to videos, so allows the user to create video playlists.

Im quite surprise however that Seeqpod havent added more affiliate links to iTunes or Amazon so users can purchase the songs they like. While also curious on why they havent added any display advertising.

If you are in your office or home and looking for a free place to find and play music then Seeqpod has to be one of the best places on the net.
