RIM Blackberry Pearl 3G and Bold 9650 Mobile Phones

RIM has just announced their new Blackberry 6, but they also just released two minor tweeks to a couple handsets and have introduced the new Pearl 3G and Bold 9650.

The Pearl 3G – no surprises – is a 3G UMTS phone running on GSM networks. The handset features 802.11n WiFi, GPS, and forgoes a trackball in favor or a mini touchpad.

The Bold 9650 offers more network options as the phone comes in two flavors: one GSM UMTS and one CDMA EV-DO. In spite of better support for 3G carriers, the phone itself only offers WiFi connectivity up to 802.11g. RIM has tagged Sprint as the first carrier for the 9650, starting in May.

Both phones include 3.2-megapixel cameras.

  1. RIM’s new releases would be a remarkable handset entry in the mobile world. The new Pearl 3g would however, pull the crowd if it happens to be a eye teaser. But the main question lies in the fact that, should it really be called as a pearl without a pearl.
