Multifox Offers Your Browser Multiplicity in Functionality

Multifox, Firefox exentsion
Firefox is the crown jewel when it comes to extension friendly browsers. In the beginning IE could not compare, but more recently other browsers have started to adapt to extensions, but Firefox is by far the leader in this field. Many of us have tried to switch to other browsers like Chrome, but we felt naked with out the extensions. Personally it was a hard transition for me, but over time I’m getting used to it.
Most recently I’ve come across an unusual extension that is easily overlooked but the functionality is priceless, especially for those of us that work in multiple accounts of the same web applications. Multifox is a handy extension that allows for each window to act independently of the other. So those of you with multiple Gmail accounts can access all of your accounts without having to login and logout of each one. The necessity for something like this has been a long time coming, and this extension saves a lot of trouble and time.

Example of multiple profile identities.
Some of the added bonuses include:
- Logins are preserved when you close windows, including quitting
- The identity profile of each window is preserved even on a restore
- Windows start the profile count with “2″; it considers “1″ the original parent window
The ability to assign identity profiles to each of your windows is definitely a bonus that once again attracts people to the Firefox browser. Do you know of other browsers that have attempted to manage such functionality? If so, let us know in the comments section.
