This is a great discussion with Jason Calacanis on CNBC.
Jason was a very early Uber investor and they have been having a lot of trouble in London around staff employment rights. Jason makes a good point that there might be a new type of employment type required specifically for the Gig Economy.
The discussion then moves on to Disney and Netflix. Disney has announced that they will be creating a Netflix style service that will feature all of their owned content (Marvel, Disney, Star Wars, Pixar, etc). Plus, they also announced it is going to be charged at a cheaper price compared to Netflix.
I would not bet against Disney over the long term!
