Jailbreak iOS4 for iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPod Touch for Windows
Previously we wrote a step by step guide on how to jailbreak iOS4 for iPhone 3GS on a Mac, but we know there are a lot of Windows users out there who want the same! Here is your step by step guide on how to jailbreak iOS4 for your iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G or iPod Touch for Windows.
- Download iPhone 3GS 4.0 Firmware / iPhone 3GS 4.0 Firmware.
- Download iTunes 9.2
- Download Sn0wbreeze 1.6.1 for Windows
- Put everything in one folder and name is “ios4.0”
- Now Start sn0wbreeze 1.6.1 and click “blue arrow” and select “simple mode” and continue.

hi this only works for 3gs old bootrom ?? any news on when a jailbreak will be available for all us people with 3gs’s on new bootrom it sucks how we are always left out and last to get the jb

Hi, I have a couple of questions …
1) Im currently running 3.1.2 (Jailbreak version) – do i need to update to 4 (via itunes) before i run sn0wBrbeze ?
2) It says above to download the version 4 os for the 3GS … im using a 3G – can i use the ipsw downloaded via iTunes or should I use the 3GS version ?

Paul why dont u go for redsnow for jailbreak and ultrasnow for unlock its more stable than snowbreeze and in case of snowbreeze dont update via itune create custome file with snowbreeze n then update it with itune by pressing shift+restore

Hi, This is slightly confusing? Why do you have to put the itunes installer in a folder when you already have it installed on my PC? Also where do you get the firmware from? I already have OS4 installed on my 3Gs?
i accidentally upgraded my 3gs old bootrom to 4.0 without knowing that my phone was software unlocked. it is now locked and completely useless for me. is there any chance of unlocking it now? as it isn jailbroken and already running 4.0. but its the old bootrom

It’s a terrifying thing to jailbreak iphone without the help of apple, just do it by yourselves. Actually, I trust in iTunes more than Cydia, which collected apps paid or free, even i will get an software of third party company on their online store, but not Cydia, if it’s an video converter I want to know who created it, ifunia or aneesoft and who can provide me after-sale service.
