How Many Is Too Many?
I have long been using Google Reader to see all my RSS feeds in one place, thus making sure I cover all the major news stories from all the major sources and players in the tech news space. Today when i was browsing i noticed that most sites are normally consistent on how many articles they publisher per day. For example TechCrunch (20), Mashable (40), Scoble (5). Now with Engadget it has just gone crazy. They have been publishing normally near 100 articles on any given day. I know Engadget is a bit player when it comes to gadget news, but 100 posts, isnt this over the top! When i see that i just think screw this and read the most latest few and just mark the rest off as read, because i just dont have the time to run through them all.
This made me wonder, what is the optimum amount of posts for a Technology News Blog? I know an optimum number would probably change compared to the niche you are in, example ProBlogger only does 4 posts per day so that all his readers read all his articles everyday and dont just get article overload.
So, what is the optimum amount of posts for a Technology News Blog?
