Grand Effect Blog Network: Have They Gone Under Or Just Lazy?

Probably about 6 or so months ago there was a bit of press about a new blog network that was being started that had real potential, that network was Grand Effect. Grand Effect was launched by Sarah Perez (Sarah in Tampa & RWW ) and David Peralty (Branding David & Xfep ). Since launch the site made some initial additions, by adding new blogs, a toolbar for sites and content on their network page. However, I have noticed in the past 3-6 months there has been no changes or additions.

Grand Effect was supposed to bring together bloggers in the same basic niche and allow them to sell more advertising at a higher rate, because of the collective impressions. This however has never come into affect and most bloggers are still running their own advertising campaigns. What is the point of this network?

Additionally, I noticed that a month or so ago David Peralty sold Xfep which was one of the key sites within the network to Splashpress Media. However, Xfep still seems to have the Grand Effect toolbar, but now also a Splashpress logo at the bottom of the sidebar, so which blog network is the site in?

Things are changing, just very slowly. Between the new market conditions, and our very busy lives (many of us have become professional/paid bloggers since the network started). We definitely haven’t gotten as far in our list of goals as we originally intended, but things are still happening.

HackYourDay was just added to the network, and deserves some attention.

As for multiple networks, Grand Effect is not exclusive, and we don’t require sites to be only in the Grand Effect network. The rule to remain in Grand Effect is just to run the network bar, and stay open to any opportunities that come down the pipe, like our Lijit partnership, and some other deals that are in progress.

Hopefully, that answers your questions. We haven’t gone under, and we aren’t lazy… just very, very busy being successful :)
