Sony’s VP of Realistic Movements Kevin Butler is at it again, this time in a video ad for the PlayStation Move. He’s back from the future to thank us all for the success of the motion control device, and make a few jabs towards Nintendo and Microsoft for their efforts. Here’s a few choice quotes.
“Because real boxers don’t hit like this [flails arms exasperatingly]“
“It’s also got what we in the future call buttons, which turn out to be pretty important to those handful of millions of people who enjoy playing shooters, platformers, well, anything that doesn’t involve catching a big red ball.”
“C’mon, who wants to pretend their hand is a gun. What is this, third grade? Pew, pew, pew.”
HTC is preparing to launch a their newest handset the HTC Supersonic.

4.3 inch display
Android powered phone
Runs on Sprint’s 4G WiMax network
According to the Wall Street Journal, that’s about to change. Though they aren’t naming their sources, they say that Dan Hesse himself will be dropping the good word about the Supersonic in the middle of his CTIA keynote on Wednesday, March 24th.
Im really keen to get my hands on this new HTC Supersonic and see if all the hype is justified.
The HTC Desire has to be one of the best lookign mobile handsets on the market. Unlike some other mobile companies who think that customers only want one specific colour, HTC has done a silver version of its popular Desire handset.
This silver handset may be the very colour AT & T goes with when it launched the Desire on the US market.
Boeing’s A160T “Hummingbird” robotic helicopter looks like it’s almost ready for prime time, as the company tested its military vehicle in a series of mock resupply tests. The ‘bird performed a variety of maneuvers over seven test flights, including hovering at 12,000 feet with a load of 1,250 pounds carried by a sling.
Two of those flights were round trips spanning 150 nautical miles, with the Hummingbird toting 1,250-pound sling loads in a simulated mission between forward operating bases. The aircraft completed the mission in less than the required 6 hours and, being a robo-copter and all, did so while operating autonomously (though preprogrammed-ly.) Autonomous deliveries by the A160T, Boeing said without offering specifics, were “extremely accurate.”
While the A160T is perfect for recon and surveillance, it’s ability to lug around heavy equipment is an invaluable service, as it’d be able to ferry supplies between bases and resupply troops in the field with a lot less danger than a ground-based vehicle.
Microsoft has just launched three new webcams in its LifeCam line. All three webcams are capable of 720p HD video.

Here is a quick look at the new Windows 7 Phone apps.
The phone itself will run a tiled interface, almost a cross between the app screens on the iPhone and the app elements on the Android. The big difference on the Windows 7 phone is that the tiles are live – they can show you content even while they sit there.
The first think you will notice is that there are only three buttons at the bottom of the phone. These are the standard buttons that work across the phone, namely back, search and home – the same functions as found on the Android phones.
The panoramic design is something we havent really seen much of, but it looks great. The design actually means that applications arent restricted by the screen szie and have potential to grow quite quickly and easily. This example from AP demonstrates the scale an app can achieve. This app is wide with the ability for the user to zoom into the particular bit they wish to focus on.
Apart from that location based services have really been thought about for the new Windows 7 phones and in general the graphics and feel of the phone are great.
Will the new range of Windows 7 phones really make people move from their current devices over? Im really not too sure. The phones look a million times better than the previous Windows mobile OS.
JooJoo tablet has a been a very talked about product in the past 6 months.
Formerly known as the Crunchpad, the JooJoo has fascinated me since Fusion Garage decided to strike out on its own with the device, leaving its partnership with TechCrunch’s Michael Arrington and an ocean of bad blood between them.
The JooJoo interface has been completely overhauled and as you can see from the picture above it has a few featured icons over a high-resolution wallpaper.
Regarding other changes, Engadget’s Nilay Patel writes that “Fusion Garage has also ditched the confusing pinch-to-go-back gesture and replaced it with a vertical swipe that brings down a status bar containing the home button, status indicators, browser navigation controls, and a combination address bar/search field.”
And for some reason, the JooJoo’s case will now be champagne-colored instead of black.
I’m still unconvinced that the $500 JooJoo will be able to compete very well against Apple’s iPad (which retails at the same price), or lower priced Android tablets that will likely pop up throughout the year. It also isn’t helping that the device is launching little more than a week before the iPad.
Check out more pictures of the JooJoo’s new interface over at Engadget.

Google’s Nexus One smartphone is already being sold in different locations around the world, but so far not in India. It has now been reported that Google is planning a launch of a ’scaled down’ version of the Nexus One for the Indian market.
Currently details havent been release, but im sure the price would hopefully reflect the market and also the specs. There is a very big mobile phone market in India which is dominated by Nokia and Blackberry.
The original Nexus One features 5 megapixel camera with auto focus and LED flash, 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen, 512MB Flash along with a 4GB microSD slot, video recording at 20 frames per second and numerous Google services such as Gmail, Google Search etc.
For all that’s in the air for now, a report suggests that the new Nexus One for India will have a 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen and Snapdragon processor but with a downgraded memory and Camera. Now, let’s wait and watch if Google really makes a hit on this one.
We’ve mentioned several times about the improvements that ASUS is introducing to the netbook world, since this company was one of the micro notebooks pioneer. Now the ASUS Eee PC 1005ER netbook model will include the accelerator chip Crystal HD with major video enhancements; that will bring the ability to reproduce Blu-Ray in your netbook.
This chip is one of the many (Nvidia ION) that are present in the market today. Manufactured by Broadcom, Crystal HD will bring a new video experience among notebooks; the high definition images provided by this chip will also facilitate and release some of the processor and memory load that could translate in a better user experience.
Sony has announced it will launch new 3D sets on June 10th. Sony’s first 3D TV will be a 46-inch model that retails for 350,000 yen or $3,875.
That price sounds pretty steep at first, but Sony’s set will come with two pairs of active shutter glasses. $4,000 is still more than we’d throw on the 3D fire, but we’re sure some people will be wasting paying it. Sony announced plans for seven other models in the LX900, HX900 and HX800 lines, which will hit the Japanese market in June or July. These televisions will range from 40 to 60 inches ($2,450 to $6,500).
The Sony 3D televisions will go live in Japan first and then in other markets.
