We will be offering a monthly round up article in which will include details about all our sponsors and what they offer.
Over the next few months we really hope to bring in more cheap fixed sponsorship opportunities on Crenk, with the aim of really helping startups grab cheap exposure that can really help drive returns.
I also wasnt too sure whether to offer 300×100 ads or 125×125. What do most readers and advertisers prefer?
Here at Crenk we are looking to expand our writing staff. Currently we have openings for writers on the following topics:

There are so many different types of blog directories out in the market at the moment. Today we received an email from Invesp who have created their own blog directory and it seems to be more comprehensive than most others. Additionally it is great to see Crenk already in the directory and doing well. In the term “startups” we are already in the top 10 blogs, with many other top sites including Techcrunch, Venturebeat, TheNextWeb and Killerstartups.
I know that most of these directories aren’t really comprehensive and they don’t tend to include all blogs in the right areas, but who really cares, it is just a bit of fun.

Here at Crenk we have been making a huge amount of changes with the site in the last week or so. Regular readers will notice that the design has had an upgrade which we hope now is a lot more reader friendly. Additionally, today I wanted to announce that we have a new Facebook group and we have added the new Facebook Fan Box to our sidebar within each individual post. The Facebook fan box and group aims to help our readers follow our articles via Facebook and build more of a community around the site. Here at Crenk we are really trying to provide our readers with what they want, but this is hard without a solid community around the site and a place for everyone to vent their opinions, this is what our Facebook group aims to do.
If you like Crenk and would really like to contribute to our community then please become a fan!

One user on a French forum posted that the overheating is “Unbearable” and the “phone much be shut down” as soon as it switches to EDGE instead of 3G or GPS is in use.
Indeed, it seems like things are heating up over the new iPhone but not in a good way. Reports are springing up all over the internet of people having a scorching hot iPhones in their pockets, seeing red traces around the lithium battery and even fearing the device may catch on fire.
One user said “I have a black 32 GB 3GS and recently I experienced overheating when I was using GPS. Every time I use GPS it somehow overheats, however mild it may be. But in a region where 3G is out of reach and phone switches to Edge, the overheating is unbearable. You must shut down the phone”
For what is now the most well-known smart phone in the world, Apple needs to resolve these complaints about their lead product quickly. When things like this occurred with other manufacturers such as Dell and Toshiba due to overheating caused by Lithium batteries the companies were highly embarrassed, lost sales and had to write checks amounting to tens of millions to fund a gigantic recall of the faulty products in question.
So far, from what I can see it is the GPS, Internet and Battery that are having the blame placed on them. Others are also saying that the root cause of it all (if indeed this is as widespread of a problem as it’s made out to be) is that the new OS on the 3G S has poor power management.
Whatever the cause, Apple better hop to it to smooth this one over quick to either fix the problem or assure customers that no such problem exists. If this catches onto the mainstream consumer radar iPhone 3G S sales may plummet.
It has been a while since we promoted our own Twitter account on site so I thought I would just drop a message to everyone to make sure they follow us. Any Retweets are also very much appreciated.
