White iPhone 4 to Start Shipping Tomorrow

On Three UK’s website there seems to be a hidden page that states that the white iPhone 4 could be delivered to customers on April 20.

Apple has completely failed to launch the white version of the iPhone 4, but earlier this year Apple confirmed that it would launch the new hue this spring.

So get ready the white iPhone 4 might actually become a reality.

Hulu Tops the World of Online Streaming Video Ads for March 2011

Comscore have claimed that our of 4.3 billion video ads in the US in March, 1.2 billion of those were on Hulu. This seems to be an amazing amount of the market, but Google is yet to really venture into video streaming advertising (which Im sure will be coming on YouTube very soon).

Internet users spent a total of 1.9 billion minutes watching video ads last month, ComScore said. Out of those, Hulu was the top property, delivering 520 million minutes of video ad viewing. Overall, video ads accounted for 12.7 percent of all ads viewed online in March, while the average video ad ran for 24 seconds.

Online Advertising Technology Defined

A lot of people find it very difficult to understand the world of online advertising. Here is an infographic that outlines online advertising and how it all works.

BuySellAds Upgrading Their Directory, Bundles and more: Direct Advertising Sales Gets Even Easier

BuySellAds are an advertising network that has been growing rapidly for the past few years. However, BuySellAds seems to be the advertising network no one is talking about. This aside BuySellAds are just about to launch a major upgrade to their site and service.

Here is what is changing at BuySellAds:

  • The New Directory: certain users may have seen the preview of this already, but it is now live for everyone. Please check this out if you haven’t already!
  • Scheduled Reports: advertisers can download their ad data to CSV on the fly, and also schedule recurring reports to be emailed to them under Buy Ads > My Ads > Reports.
  • Leaderboards: we have setup an initial set of leaderboards based on different performance criteria that can be found under Buy Ads > Leaderboards.
  • Bundles: we have packaged together groups of sites into “bundles” that advertisers can use to make targeted ad buying even easier.
  • Performance by Ad: advertisers can now see how each creative performs compared to others.
  • Lists: advertisers are now able to create custom lists (as opposed to having to use the cart to plan your ad campaign) and manage their lists much better than before.
  • Recommendations: advertisers will find both hand-picked and automatically-generated recommendations throughout the app based on purchasing history.
  • Earnings: publishers are now able to pull up a dedicated daily earnings report. We expect the new earnings report section will evolve over time as well, as we add different views on publisher earnings data.

Im a big fan of the new user interface for Buying Ads. It seems like it is going to be a lot easier to find the best sites and find the demographic you are wanting to target as an advertiser.

[infographic] The Evolution of the Geek

Geeks, what a special breed that is, right? Flowtown created a really nice infographic about geek’s evolution and some interesting facts.

Did you know the word “geek” is related to a term used in 1500’s “gecken” which meant “fool”? And how many types of geeks would you define? Take a closer look to the chart and don’t forget to include yourself in one of the categories:

Find and Download Videos in Facebook with FacetoFind

FacetoFind is a simple and free web app which allows us to search videos within Facebook network. No registration required, just type in your search and you’ll get the results.

Even though Facebook’s search could be a very powerful tool to find people, pages, applications or groups; still there’s no easy way to find content like videos. FacetoFind can simplify all this work; but even more you can download those videos to your PC.

You don’t need to register nor install any application, just access the site and enjoy the videos. The site also contains the “most viewed” and “most recent videos” available.

Verizon to Bolster Apple Bottom Line?

The question asked since the announcement that iPhone was going to be on the AT&T network is “When are they leaving AT&T?” It’s an honest question based on real and honest situations of dropped calls, overworked networks, and bad customer service. It’s probably unfair to lay all the blame on the service provider, as I’m sure the iPhone is not without faults of its own, but unfortunately AT&T is definitely getting the heat. So while iPhones have outsold most other handsets around the world, there are still a large majority holding out for the day when the iPhone is available on another network.

Are you one of those people? Rumors have circulated across various sites that Apple has been courting Verizon as the next network to gain access to the iPhone as early as Quarter 1, 2011. While all signs point to yes, the evidence is not conclusive and thus speculation persists. Considering the dominance that the iPhone has on the cell phone market, it’s safe to assume that the majority not using the iPhone are either Blackberry or Android users, with others following into the minority of other OS platforms.

In market research conducted by Morpace, subscribers on Verizon alone are awaiting the transition of the iPhone onto the Verizon network. Of 1000 people surveyed, 23% said they’d most likely buy it, while a whopping 51% of Verizon subscribers said they were waiting to buy it. This segment of Verizon subscribers could bolster Apple’s numbers heavily when/if the transition takes place as rumored. AppleInsider even predicts that it could put Apple in the lead, far ahead of it’s competitors. The platforms mostly threatened by the iPhone being offered on Verizon would be Blackberry and Android, so it will be interesting to see how this will effect the numbers.

If it happens, Apple could see quite a profitable 1st Quarter. So where do you stand? Are you waiting for the iPhone to be offered on another network or are you happy with your Blackberry, Android, or other phone platform?

Mario Bros in Real Life

No, this is not Super Mario Bros Movie (1993, Bob Hoskins, John Leguizamo, Dennis Hopper); believe me, this short video is much entertaining than that.

Someone took a lot of his time to develop some kind of animated video in real life; the details are spectacular, movements and the game experience resemblance with the original is incredible. Take a look:

I can only imagine that this took a lot of patient work.

Your Twitter Popularity Measured in Cup Size

eBoobs is probably one of the useless but funniest web apps available related to Twitter. It measures your popularity using cup size.

Using only US sizes to compare your popularity, this web app tells you immediately how popular you are just by entering your Twitter user name.

Ok, those aren’t mine; those are from @aplusk (Ashton Kutcher), no surprise there I guess. This is the result for mine:

Anyway, they say those are nice boobies! So that means… what?
