Aductions: The Ad Marketplace With A Difference!

This morning I finally got my invitation to take a closer look at the new Aductions Advertising Marketplace.
The site itself looks quite well designed, basic in places but quite clean and usable.
Publishing
The marketplace is currently setup with a few site just to use as examples and the overall format of the publisher side bar is quite simple and straight forwards. It mimics most other advertising marketplaces in the market at present.
When setting up a new publishing section the steps are nicely set out in the left hand column, but once you start the process it doesnt seem to go from page to page. Basically, from step 1 once completed straight to step 2, without having to click on the step itself in the left column. This is so annoying!
Additionally, the site could use a page cast showing how to use the site properly. Currently they have two slideshow presentations that do all the basic of explaining what the site is about, but nothing on how to actually use it.
Finally, there are still a lot of links that arent clickable. Hence, im not too sure if they should be in beta, but actually alpha.
Advertising
There are currently only 2 sections for advertisers, campaigns and advertisements. There is not too much I can tell you about the Advertising section because it is just not working yet.
Overall
Aductions seems to have a nice backbone in place but it is still lacking some major fundamentals. Once they establish a good page cast section in which shows all the users how to use the site and its great benefits, then the site will start to see some growth. Until that time, guys you have to really take down the beta tag and put up an alpha one, because you have a very long way to go to break into the advertising marketplace. Advertising Networks are very competitive and for Aductions to work you have to get all the small publishers on board and try to maximise the margins you can make.

let’s hope this doesn’t go the way of widgetbucks, which seems to be having difficulty paying some of its members
Hi Steven,
Thanks for the candid review of the Aductions Platform. I think you have a pretty good idea of what it is that we are trying to achieve.
The issues that you pointed out have been addressed in our testing environment and will be rolled out online once our internal testing is complete.
That said, I’m glad Aductions is finally up and running. We’ve are getting emails from a lot of beta testers (and some advertisers) giving us very good tips and we really appreciate it.
Albeit at an early stage, Aductions is going to be the next big thing in online advertising and everyone is welcome to participate.
Thanks again.

Hi Doug,
I’m glad you raised a concern about payments.
I think it is apt to mention that right from the onset, we made a policy NOT to conform with the industry norm of making payouts in 30, 60 or even 90 days.
Instead, every user gets an “online banking” type of statement that shows their earnings in real time, and they will be able to withdraw funds at any time.
Simply put, if you sell 100000 impressions to an advertiser, and after a few hours 10% has been filled, you will be able to withdraw the funds for that 10% immediately, on the same day.
Unless I’m missing something, I really cannot see why it should take any longer.
