iPad 2 is Here: Major Hardware and Design Upgrades from the Original iPad
If you haven’t already heard, Apple has just launched the iPad 2. The iPad 2 images were leaked this morning and it turns out they were completely authentic.
Steve Jobs announced the iPad 2 and it has design and hardware upgrades from the original iPad. The iPad 2 will have a custom designed dual-core A5 processor, which is supposed to be twice as fast as the A4 chip used in the original iPad. In terms of graphics the iPad 2 will be much improved and is said to be upto nine times faster.
The iPad 2 is only 8.8mm thick and weird 1.3 pounds. It will be available in 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB models, both in Wifi and 3G.
I think the best feature is the front and rear facing cameras, which was much needed! I’m looking forward to getting my hands on an iPad 2 which is scheduled to be available March 11 in the US and March 25 in 26 other countries.
