Greenpoison has discovered yet another vulnerability in iOS for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch which can possibly be used on iOS 4.2.1 and 4.3 as well.

Its still not known if the vulnerability is found in the bootrom like Limera1n or if its of the userland nature.

Ok let me say that I AM QUITE SICK OF HEARING ABOUT FOUND VULNERABILITIES, EXPLOITS THAT ARE “COMMING SOON” AND TOOLS IN DEVELOPMENT!!! I imagine you are using a Jailbreak incorrectly because if you CHOOSE to donate say $10, in my experience that would be a bargain at ten times the price given what that Jailbreak would potentially give you in return.

This is an article created around a tweet by someone working on jailbreaks. It is very, very low-level info (the nuts and bolts) about the process, and I doubt anyone here is the intended audience. I’ve been following the guys on Twitter, and they seem to use that as their medium for collaborating amongst themselves, exposing the process for people who are curious. This makes it weird when sites pull out these tweets to make articles charting the progress… these articles make it out to be big announcements, when they’re not.
EVERYONE ON HERE COMPLAINING: If all you want is to know when releases are actually ready and pushed out, you shouldn’t be looking anywhere except http://blog.iphone-dev.org/ . They only seem to post updates about things which are released, answers to technical questions they’ve received, and other crucial technical info, etc… useful stuff for the Actual Users, aka YOU ^_^
If you want to complain about the presence of articles like these, politely tell the author of this article or this publication, or just skip the article, and just use the link provided above as your source of information.
