Biz Stone Announces Twitter Will Develop a News Network

Biz Stone, co-founder of Twitter, has announced that they will be rolling out a news network. Million of users worldwide look at Twitter to see what the world is talking about at any given point in time. Thus, why not provide them with a structured way to view the buzz on particular news topics.

However, Biz did add that the new network might not necessarily be run by Twitter itself but would be launched with several existing news organizations. Basically the word ‘open’ should be used while defining the upcoming news network.

Biz Stone told:

From the very beginning this has seemed almost as if it’s a news wire coming from everywhere around the world. I think a Twitter News Service would be something that would be very open and shared with many different news organizations around the world.
