Vudu: Movie Streaming Service for Your Playstation 3

At the moment there seems to be no shortage of movie rental/streaming services on the Playstation 3. Sony has just announced that VUDU will be heading to the PS3 and joining competitors such as Hulu, Netflix, and Sony’s own PSN movie.

How is VUDU going to differentiate themselves from their competitors? First of all, VUDU doesnt require any subscriptions and it allows you to stream the movies over the net.

Rentals through VUDU will start at $2, however HD movies with 5.1 surround sound may fetch a little more, somewhere in the $4-$6 range. Unfortunately, the service is currently only available to US based customers, the same as Hulu Plus.

When will VUDU be available? November 23rd!
