Windows Live Messenger had a big impact a while ago because the popularity of Facebook: People prefer the Facebook chat instead of using Microsoft’s application.

As we said, this is a service provided for Envolve and no, it is not free. The pricing depends on how many visitors currently have: Starts with a “basic” plan at U$S7 per month (up to 5K visitor per month); and the “platinum” plan at U$S89 per month (handling over 100K visitors).

There arent many websites that can really justify their own chat tool. A site would need a great deal of traffic to actually make this viable.
