Nissan Leaf: The First Look at Apple’s iAd Advertising Platform
Here is a first look at Apple‘s new iPhone (possibly iPad) iAds advertising platform. This iAd is for the Nissan Leaf, which is the first mass market electric car.
The iAd runs from within the application and allows the user to view the ad without having to navigate away from what they were doing in their application. I find this to be very similar to what Videoegg do with display advertising online. iAds seem to be very feature rich, but Im not entirely too sure how good the click through rate will be. The iAds seem to be geared towards brand advertisers (cause there are larger budgets), but click through rates are going to be poor unless they are targetted properly.
