3D TV seems to be the new big thing, but its still really yet to gain proper momentum and be affordable for the average consumers. However, this hasnt stopped Sony, and they have announced they will be releasing their first 3D games today.

The first 3D games will be Super Stardust HD, Wipeout HD, MotorStorm Pacific Rift, and Pain. In order to take advantage of these games you of course need a 3D TV, and with prices of these tending to be over $5,000 it still doesnt seem that affordable.

Future 3D titles include The Fight: Lights Out, Gran Turismo 5, and MLB The Show 10. To help encourage adoption of the fledgling technology, Sony will be offering a selection of four free 3D games along with the purchase of one of its compatible Bravia TVs; not a bad way to get your collection started!
