Wix: Free Website Builder Which is Easy To Create and Edit Your Own Site

Wix is a free website builder that lets the average internet user become a web developer. Wix joins a large group of browser based website creators such as Weebly, Google Pages, Squarespace and more.

Once signed up Wix has very easy navigation options and they make it very simple to choose the template you want, most templates are free but they also have some paid options. Once you have selected your template it then moves into the editing window. The editing window is amazingly easy to use and lets the user select the areas and information you wish to change, once selected its so simple a 5 year old could do it. All templates are currently focused around website or portfolio type sites. It would be nice if they offered a few blog type options.

I understand that Wix are all about using Flash to create simple websites, but sometimes navigation on their own site can be a little annoying with Flash. It just means you have to wait for items to load. Additionally, when you head to Wix on a mobile device like the Apple iPhone, the Wix website doesnt work at all cause it is written in Flash. I really think a mobile device or a specific iPhone (Apple) application is required.

If you are just getting start and want a quick and easy website, also with the ability to edit the site whenever you wish, then Wix is definitely for you.
