Powering Up ASUS Eee PC with Crystal HD
We’ve mentioned several times about the improvements that ASUS is introducing to the netbook world, since this company was one of the micro notebooks pioneer. Now the ASUS Eee PC 1005ER netbook model will include the accelerator chip Crystal HD with major video enhancements; that will bring the ability to reproduce Blu-Ray in your netbook.
This chip is one of the many (Nvidia ION) that are present in the market today. Manufactured by Broadcom, Crystal HD will bring a new video experience among notebooks; the high definition images provided by this chip will also facilitate and release some of the processor and memory load that could translate in a better user experience.
Features included in the ASUS Eee PC 1005ER:
- Intel Atom N450 processor. 1.66 GHz.
- 1GB RAM.
- 250 GB HD.
- 0.3 MP Webcam.
- 10/100 LAN.
- WiFi and Bluetooth.

No pricing is revealed just yet about the model.
The HP Mini 10 model also includes this chip.
