Intel Celeron Overclocked to 8195.5MHZ

Yeap, you read it right, an Intel Celeron D Processor was overclocked from 3.06 GHz to 8.19 GHz. This clock speed has set a new record for overclocked processors speed.

Intel Celeron D 347 is the model for this processor and contains the NeBurst architecture based in the Cedar Mill core (65nm). Here are all the specs used to achieve the overclocking:

  • D347 lapped, then IHS-removed and polished
  • Xtremelabs.org MAGNUM Legend Edition copper pot
  • DFI Lanparty UT P35-T2R
  • Some fast evil Nidec fans
  • OCZ 1GB DRAM
